Breast Cancer Early Detection Advocate Inc. is a non-profit organization that was created in 2023 after the founder, Saundra Rountree, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. Saundra's diagnosis came after she found a lump in her breast while showering. Saundra was familiar with her body, so she knew that what she felt was not normal. Subsequently, an ultrasound confirmed that the lump was cancerous and she was diagnosed with Stage 1B triple negative breast cancer.
Triple negative breast cancer is the most aggressive form of breast cancer . Saundra was fortunate to have been diagnosed at an early stage; however, that is not the case for everyone. As Saundra was going through her treatments, she knew she was blessed to have been diagnosed early and because of that she had to become an advocate for breast cancer ... and Breast Cancer Early Detection Advocate Inc. was created.

Our team is made up of individuals who were a part of Saundra's "support squad" and who are also passionate about promoting breast cancer awareness. The team members are: (left to right) Brendette Leigh, Tanya Gladden, Diketa Windross, Saundra Rountree, Yolanda Boone, Wanya Rountree, and Eulanda Elliott.
